The QPunX train is travelling at high speeds and is ready to stop at your station, pick you up and get you involved. We have new news (funny that hey).
First of all we have a fundraiser gig at Fat Louie’s on the Feb 6 (see flier below). So come along, entry is free but donations will be welcomed and appreciated. Doors at 7:30 with bands kicking off at 8:30. For nothing you will see Noxious, Align, The Flangipanis and My Self Destruction. Should be an awesome night.
In other news, our first podcast will soon be available. It’s dodgy as hell but it has some really good tunes from Queensland’s finest, so have a listen.
Stay tuned for more upcoming shows and band bio’s coming to this website near you (right here)
Peace
Josh

Hey everyone, what a night! The bands were awesome and the booze was flowing.
We'd like to take this opportunity to thank all the bands who played (Vomit Bullets, Forty Five, Noxious, The Final Fall, Driven Fear, Celebrity Stalkers and MilitiA) who donated their time and put on a great show.
A very special thanks to the Northen Brisbane Roller Derby girls for coming out and talking with the punters about their sport. The next issue will feature an interview with them and more information on where to see them and how to join.
Another special thanks to David Richardson for doing sound on the night. He worked free of charge and provided great sound (it should be noted that this was Dave's first professional gig). Mucho gracias!
Of course, we'd like to thank the Jubilee Hotel for providing a great venue and staff. We will be back! Well they already knew that, the second QPunX gig has already been announced for the 27th Feb at the Jubilee Hotel (Deck Bar). Scroll down to check out the flier.
Finally, thanks go out to everyone who came on the night. Without you guys, what would be the point? As usual for local punk gigs, you were all very well behaved, and we hope you all had a great night. We certainly did!
The night raised some great funds that are to go towards printing the magazine sometime in the future. So far, the first issue has had nearly 200 hits in less than 72 hours. This has exceeded our expectations and all feedback we have received has been positive.
Also, over the coming weeks we hope to increase the content and functionality of this site. Development for this has fallen behind in order to bring you the best first issue we possibly could. Among other things we hope to bring you a comments section where feedback, criticism or whatever you like can be made.
Remember, you are QPunX! Any articles (that somehow relate to the Queensland punk scene) or recommendations for the magazine or site can be made (and will be appreciated) at qpunxmag@y7mail.com or at the facebook (www.facebook.com/qpunxmag) or myspace (www.myspace.com/qpunxmag) pages.
Submissions for the next issue are due by the end of January, else there are no guarantees it will make it in until the following issue. Articles are subject to proof-reading and possible editting (with the original authors approval of the final article of course).
See you all soon,
The QPunX Team.

With two bands to be added to the list, it promises to be a night to remember. Entry is only $5, be among the first 50 to arrive and receive a free compilation CD featuring some of Queensland's amazing talent.
Look forward to seeing you all there.
Whoa, whoa, whoa! Back up. The rest of this site is still under construction.
