Hailing from the Gold Coast “The Final Fall” are relatively new to the scene but have hit the ground running.
The sound could be described as driving punk rock with elements of hardcore and metal, but not too hectic for your average music lover to appreciate.
The Final Fall was born in February 2009, when Ben previously of Gold Coast Hardcore band “Vices for Virtues” hooked up with local band mates Paulie and Clint and started writing melodic punk rock tunes with a slight hardcore influence.
The Trio jammed weekly in a stinky fish shop and then an old mechanics shed and within a few months had some solid tracks together and hit the stage. Blowing away crowds in Brisbane and the Gold Coast with their powerful and well crafted songs, the band soon scored support slots with NZ punk band “The Rabble” and other established Punk/Hardcore acts in the area.
In August the Band took to the studio to record their debut self titled EP. Launching the Ep with a string of well received shows in Brisbane and the Gold coast.
The Final Fall recently added a second Guitarist, adding another dimension and creating a fuller sound. New Guitarist Nic is from now departed Gold Coast Hardcore/Metal band “Before the Throne”.
Definitely a band to watch out for over the coming months.
